Terms & Conditions

1. Thank You & Welcome

Thank you for your interest in being one of the first 100 farmers in New Zealand to use Herd-i’s automated Body Conditioning system (BCS). By joining this specialist advisory group, you will not only be among the first to experience Herd-i’s world class technology, you will also play a key role in helping to determine future development of the system to deliver real benefits for dairy farmers.

2. Key Dates & How to Apply

  • Applications Open: Friday, 24 January 2025, at 11:59 AM.
  • Applications Close: When fully subscribed.

How to Apply:

  1. Fill out the online application form at www.herd-i.com/first100.
  2. You will be provided with the Terms & Conditions for this promotion which we ask that you review and agree to.
  3. The Herd-i team will review all applications and select 100 farms based on factors such as location and herd size.
  4. You will be notified personally if your application is successful, and an agreement will be provided.
  5. Once the agreement is signed, an on-farm assessment will be scheduled to confirm suitability for installation. During that on-farm assessment you will have the opportunity to have a comprehensive demonstration of the live system.

3. Who Can Apply

  • New Customers Only: The campaign is open only to new Herd-i customers.
  • On-Farm Assessment: Final approval of eligibility for the promotion depends on an on-farm assessment to ensure suitability for installation on your farm.

4. Exclusive Benefits for “The First 100”

If your application is selected to be part of this promotion, you will receive:

  1. Free BCS Installation
    • All installation costs for your farm will be covered by Herd-i.
  1. Subscription Discount
    • First Year: 50% off the standard subscription fee of $1.25 per cow per month.
    • Second & Third Year: Standard pricing of $1.25 per cow, per month applies.
  1. Add-On Discounts for Lameness Scoring System
    • If an agreement is signed to install Herd-i’s Lameness system at the same time, there is a discount of 50% off the standard installation fee of $10,000 ($5,000 installation fee to be paid)
    • An additional discount applies for the Lameness Scoring system which is invoiced separately:
      First Year: 50% off the standard subscription fee of $1.25 per cow per month.
      Second & Third Year: Standard pricing of $1.25 per cow per month applies.
  1. Advisory Group Participation
    • Successful applicants are invited to join monthly online advisory group meetings (commencing May 2025) with approximately 20 other participating farmers.
    • During these meetings, farmers will be invited to provide direct feedback on system performance and help inform future development of Herd-i functionality and features (e.g., new reporting, drying-off algorithms, etc.).
  1. Benchmarking & Insights
    • Successful applicants will have access to benchmarking data, comparing their herd information with the group.
    • Additional analysis and insights will be identified by the group and made available.
  1. Online Seminars & Events
    • Successful applicants will be invited to exclusive webinars or events led by industry experts.
  1. Welcome Pack
    • Successful applicants will receive an exclusive Herd-i welcome pack, including branded merchandise.

5. Agreement & Contract Terms

  1. Three-Year Agreement
    • Successful applicants will sign a three-year agreement with Herd-i.
    • Herd-i provides an exit clause allowing customers to opt out after 12 months. This opt-out option is only available during the month which is the 12-month anniversary of invoicing commencing.
  1. Signing Deadline
    • Agreements are required to be signed by 28 February 2025 to be successful in securing a place in “The First 100.”
  1. Data Sharing
    • Successful applicants agree to provide Herd-i, or Herd-i’s designed third party data analysis provider, with access to MINDA data for data analysis and reporting. purposes.
  1. Bill payer requirements
    • Applications for “The First 100” campaign are open only to the individual or entity who will be responsible for paying Herd-i invoices (“the bill payer”). By accepting these Terms & Conditions, you confirm that you are the bill payer.

 

6. Promotional Use, Testimonials & Referrals

  • Successful applicants provide permission for Herd-i to use your name, farm name, and images for promotional purposes (such as on Herd-i’s website, social media, and in press releases).
  • Successful applicants may be asked to provide written or video testimonials, subject to your review and approval before public release.
  • Herd-i will provide all content to participants for prior approval before publishing.
  • Successful applicants agree to provide Herd-i with three referral farmers who may also be interested in installing automated BCS on their farm.

7. Our Commitment to You

  • Herd-i values customer feedback and will actively use it to refine, improve, and develop the functionality of the Herd-i BCS system.
  • Herd-i aims to foster a collaborative environment where every participant’s insights, opinions and recommendations are heard and considered.
  • Herd-i will comply with all requirements of the Privacy Act, 2020 and will not disclose any information without obtaining consent.
