Peter Mitchell
Interim Chief Executive Officer

Peter brings extensive entrepreneurial and commercial experience to the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer. He has a proven track record of building New Zealand businesses from start-ups into global leaders within their sectors.

As a long-standing Director of Herd-i, Peter has a deep understanding of the business, its customers, and its future opportunities. He is focused on providing continuity for the team while ensuring Herd-i continues to deliver meaningful outcomes for kiwi dairy farmers.

William Elliot
Chief Technology Officer

With over 30 years of experience leading global technology teams, William has built software platforms from start-ups through to enterprise scale. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics and Microelectronics from Edinburgh Napier University.

As CTO, William is focused on leading Herd-i’s technology into the future with a farmer-first philosophy, ensuring innovation always delivers real outcomes on-farm.

James Cummins
Marketing Director

James brings brand building and customer insights expertise from a career in senior marketing and advertising roles across FMCG & Telecommunications.  He has a Bachelor Commerce majoring in Marketing & Economics and a Bachelor of Arts (Film & Television) from the University of Otago.

Alexis Robin
National Sales Manager

Originally from France, Alexis moved to New Zealand in 2011 and has built his career across some of New Zealand’s most important industries – wine, forensic science, and agritech. He joins Herd-i as National Sales Manager, primed and ready to help New Zealand dairy farmers identify herd health issues earlier and achieve real, meaningful results for their animals and their businesses.

Marty Orange
Sales Manager

Marty started his career in dairy farming and then transitioned into rural sales where he has established his expertise and has a proven track record in successfully working alongside dairy farmers to help them to embrace new technology on farm. Marty understands what matters most to farmers enjoys establishing long term relationships with his customers.

Matt McIntyre
Sales Manager

Born and bred on a sheep and beef farm in Mid Canterbury Matt brings experience across finance, recruitment, and rural sales. After several years overseas, Matt returned with his family to New Zealand and has spent the past six years working closely with farmers in the rural sector.

Matt focuses on building strong, long-term relationships and working alongside farmers to help them achieve their goals on-farm. He is also a volunteer firefighter, reflecting a strong commitment to community and service in rural New Zealand.

Georgina Foster
Digital Marketing Manager

Growing up on sheep and beef farms in Canterbury gave Georgina a first-hand understanding of the challenges and rewards of farming in New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management and Marketing from the University of Canterbury, and has spent the past three years with PGG Wrightson Livestock, prior to that with FMG Insurance.

Passionate about the role technology can play on farm, Georgina joined Herd-i because she genuinely believes Herd-i can help dairy farmers stay ahead, boost productivity, and keep the industry strong for generations to come.

Holly Forde
Customer Success Manager

Holly was raised on a beef farm and brings over 18 years of experience in rural sales and support. During nine years of sharemilking, she’s developed a deep understanding of on-farm challenges and thrives on helping farmers succeed. Passionate, practical, and grounded in the land—Holly is all about delivering real solutions to grow the future of farming.

Peter has an extensive entrepreneurial background and a proven track record of success in building New Zealand brands from start-up businesses to global leaders in their sector.  Peter provides oversight of the commercials of the organisation and brings a commitment to deliver success for our customers.

Richard Stalker
Board Member

Richard is a dairy farmer, veterinarian with extensive experience in governance and management and agricultural businesses. Richard is milking 1,300 cows in Rangiora, and holds Directorships with Veterinary Enterprises and Waimakariri Irrigation Ltd. Richard is passionate about animal health and welfare and brings the farmers perspective to the Herd-i boardroom. He has a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Massey University.
